Video Game Review: Rock Band 2

August 24th, 2008 admin Posted in Music No Comments »

Set for release in September, Rock Band 2 builds upon the first Rock Band video game but yet moves to new heights. The online, multiplayer experience is even better than in the first game and the downloadable content and multiple instruments means that the game never grows tiresome or gets boring. There is always something new to be changed or added.

Tracks and downloads that were purchased for Rock Band will work for the sequel, so there's no need to re-download anything. You can pick newer and better instruments and the online connection works to bring the whole Rock Band community closer together, resulting in an immersing experience unparalleled by other music games. Rock Band 2 is available exclusively for the Xbox 360.

Guitar Hero World Tour: Fake Setlists are Everywhere

August 2nd, 2008 admin Posted in Music 1 Comment »

Want to know what the setlist is going to be for Guitar Hero World Tour? So do lots of other people.

Fans of the game thought that they had it all figured out when they found a detailed setlist circulating on the Internet. There's just one problem. It's a fake. Red Octane and Activision have both said that the list is not real.

While some of the songs that show up on the list are indeed on the Guitar Hero World Tour game, the list overall is not what the game has on it. It's speculation and it's wishful thinking…and it's a disappointment to all those fans out there who thought they suddenly had much-desired information in their hands, only to have that yanked away from them. It just goes to show that you can't believe everything you read – even on the Internet.
